Hi everyone and welcome back to my blog.
This week Bubba and I had the pleasure of revisiting the Work of Heart Garden at Gloucester Cathedral.
Gloucester Cathedral is a fantastic, free day out for all of the family so be sure to visit. There is so much to see and do – some scenes from the popular Harry Potter films were filmed there too!
Created by Clare Young the Work of Heart Garden is a knitted installation in memory of her husband Ken who sadly passed away at the Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice.
My own father was cared for and passed away at Leckhampton Court Hospice in 2010 so I was only too happy to visit, pay my respects and share awareness of this wonderful cause.
I have recently launched my YouTube channel and you can watch our day out at the Work of Heart Garden in my latest video by clicking here.
Bubba and I were lucky enough to be invited to sit in the garden with Clare which was a lovely experience. Every last detail in the garden has been lovingly knitted and the touching wall of remembrance was a highlight of our visit.
You can see the Work of Heart Garden for yourself at the Leckhampton Court Hospice Autumn Fayre on Saturday 8th September 2018. We hope to see you there!
Have you visited the Work of Heart Garden? Do you have a hobby that you could use as a fundraising idea? Perhaps you have a charity that is close to your heart too? Comment below and let me know!
As always, thank you for reading.
Love, Thrifty Mumma X
