Gill Rapley baby led weaning talk and bake sale for GBSN

If you are based in Gloucestershire and have a baby that is or soon will be weaning then there is an upcoming event that may be of interest to you.

Gloucestershire Breastfeeding Supporter’s Network (GBSN) is hosting a talk by Gill Rapley who is a midwife, health visitor, breastfeeding counsellor and co-author of ‘Baby-Led Weaning’.

This exciting and informative event kindly sponsored by Babel Babies will be held on Monday 23rd April 2018 at 1:00-3:30pm in St Margaret’s Hall, Cheltenham, GL51 3NU. Babies are also very welcome to accompany you.

Tickets cost £12.50 which includes a drink and can be purchased here. Importantly, all proceeds from the event will go directly to GBSN who continue to support women within Gloucestershire to make an informed choice as to how to feed their babies before, during and after birth.

On the day Gill will talk for approximately an hour before answering any questions you may have. After that, the bountiful raffle will be drawn and you will have the opportunity to discuss weaning and baby related topics with other parents in similar situations.

Can you bake a cake for charity?

If you are a keen baker or know someone that is then please point them in our direction.

Any donations of cakes, biscuits or similar items to sell on the day would be very gratefully received and will help us to generate much needed funds for GBSN.

I am coordinating the cake sale so email Thriftymummathriftybubba@gmail.com if you would like to get involved – I’d be delighted to hear from you.

I hope to hear from you soon and see you at the event later on in the month.

Love, Thrifty Mumma X
