Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog.

If you are anything like me then preparing your wardrobe for Winter can feel like a chore. Swapping sandals for boots and floaty dresses for chunky knits leaves me longing for warm Summer days.

This year I am trying to embrace the joys of Autumn and find a little bit of hygge in every day.

If changing your wardrobe seems like a mammoth task then I’d definitely recommend aiming for a capsule wardrobe.

I actually ended up enjoying doing this – a streamlined wardrobe means I wear a wider variety of clothes more often. I’m able to see exactly what I have to choose from and the amount I’m washing has become less too!

If you’re feeling daunted, approach it in stages:

• Start with shoes – pack away your open toe shoes and bring out the boots
• Tackle trousers – everything from jeans, jeggings, leggings and workwear
• Do your dresses – Summer weight dresses can be swapped out in favour of winter warmers
• Tops, jumpers and cardigans – these are a great way to add a pop of colour
• Layers are key – don’t dismiss all Summer items. Some tops can be used to layer up in colder months
• Throughout the year try the coat hanger trick. Turn all hangers in your wardrobe the other way round – opposite to the natural way. Every time you wear an item from your wardrobe turn the coat hanger to face the right way. You’ll soon be able to clearly see the items that are worn regularly and those that you no longer wear
• Anything that hasn’t been worn or doesn’t spark a joy that Marie Kondo would be proud of can be donated to your local charity shop
• Scarves, gloves and hats can now be sorted too
• Don’t forget to store your lightweight jackets and coats before replacing them with heavier, thicker ones ready for Winter
• Underwear, socks and swimwear can be reassessed too
• Now is the time to wash and revitalise your wardrobe (read on for more ideas)

Washing, drying and day to day wearing can leave colourful clothes looking dull and lacklustre. However, just because the days are darker doesn’t mean your clothes have to be!

My once faded and dull clothes are now bright, fresh and smelling sweet. I even used the product on a 50p rug I picked up at a local jumble sale!

Being a busy Mum, stain removal is often a top priority of mine when doing a quick wash. Bubba’s clothes are often stained with food, milk, paint or mud and each of these can be difficult to tackle.

I’m pleased to report that ACE for colours powder was true to task and gently removed all the stains. Bubba’s clothes looked good as new following a soak and a wash.

I’ve been really impressed by the cleaning power of ACE for colours powder and once these boxes run out I’m sure I’ll be replacing them.
